Chemmad is a fast-growing small town in the Malappuram district, Kerala, India. It is located 7 km (4.35 miles) east of the Parappanangadi Railway station. The Tirurangadi Police Station, Community Health Centre, Telephone Exchange, and Tirurangadi Taluk Offices are all located within Chemmad. It is the trade centre of the western part of the Malappuram District, apart from Tirur.
Before 10 years it was a small town helping its own people, but now people from other places also come here. Chemmad has gone a long way from its humble past.
